AI Engineer Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Retail, UK Accounts

Phinest.ai is a Prague-based AI consultancy delivering generative AI and data science solutions to leading FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) brands across the UK. Our work spans media, retail, and consumer goods, helping clients make better decisions with AI.

We are looking for a mid-level AI Engineer to join our team and work on UK-based FMCG accounts. You will design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions, with a primary focus on generative AI and occasional data science use cases, working closely with our clients and team.

You will start by delivering alongside our team, and over time grow into the primary point of contact for the clients you work with.

• Designing and building generative AI solutions for UK FMCG clients across media and retail verticals
• Developing and deploying LLM-based pipelines using LangChain, LangGraph, and LangFuse
• Taking on data science use cases as projects require
• Collaborating with client stakeholders to translate business problems into AI-driven solutions
• Contributing to the full AI development lifecycle, from prototyping through to production

• 2+ years of hands-on Python experience in a professional setting, with demonstrated delivery of production AI work
• Proven, real-world experience with generative AI, with concrete use cases you have built and shipped
• Solid understanding of LangChain, LangGraph, and LangFuse
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) and the ability to engage confidently with UK-based clients

• Experience with Databricks or Azure (cloud/data platform work)
• Data science background with practical experience in:
  • Building classification and regression models using XGBoost
  • Model explainability with SHAP
  • Real-world tabular data science, including messy datasets, feature engineering, and production deployments

• Grow under the guidance of practitioners including Kaggle Competition Masters and Grandmasters, with deep ties to experts at H2O.ai and NVIDIA
• Work with major UK FMCG brands
